Korwin, a former Team USA triathlete and wellness entrepreneur who tragically drowned while swimming on Shelter Island, New York, during a family vacation. Korwin, aged 38, was the father of two young daughters and widely recognized in the endurance sports community.
Korwin entered the water shortly after 8 a.m. on September 2, off the dock of the Pridwin Hotel, where he was staying with family. Despite being an experienced swimmer, his absence raised alarms when he failed to return several hours later. Local police reported that divers found Korwin submerged near the dock around 3 p.m. that same day.
The search for Korwin began when his wife alerted hotel staff about her husband’s disappearance.
