Stabbing Rampage: Man Faces Life in Prison for Brutal Attack on Ex-Girlfriend

Los Angeles, California – A man is in custody facing severe charges after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and stabbing her over 20 times, causing critical injuries. The incident occurred in the early hours of May 23 in the Shadow Hills neighborhood.

The victim, identified as Allie Shehorn, a renowned makeup artist and special effects producer known for her work in various feature films, had recently taken out a restraining order against the suspect, Nick Pasqual. Shehorn was found by her surrogate mother, who was staying with her at the time, and suffered extensive wounds to her neck, arms, and abdomen.

Following the brutal attack, Pasqual fled to Texas; however, he was apprehended at the United States-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca. He now faces charges of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary, and injuring a spouse or cohabitant.

An arrest warrant with a bail set at over $1 million was issued for Pasqual the day after the attack. The District Attorney’s Office has expressed deep sympathy for the victim and reiterated their commitment to holding the perpetrator accountable for his actions.

District Attorney George Gascón emphasized the seriousness of domestic violence, highlighting the need to address such crimes promptly and ensure justice for the victims. Pasqual, if convicted, could potentially face a life sentence in state prison.

Shehorn has undergone multiple surgeries to address her injuries and is currently hospitalized as she continues to recover from the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her. The community has rallied support for her as she embarks on a challenging journey to heal from this traumatic experience.
