Authorities allege that 35-year-old Thomas J. Anderson confronted Mazariegos unexpectedly when he arrived at the apartment where his estranged wife was believed to be. Reports indicate that Mazariegos and Anderson’s wife were inside the residence at the time, leading to a volatile situation.
