NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller tragically killed in Queens traffic stop

New York – An NYPD officer was tragically shot and killed in the line of duty on Monday in Far Rockaway, Queens. Mayor Eric Adams confirmed the devastating news during a press conference held later that evening. The officer, identified as Jonathan Diller, a three-year veteran of the force, was shot in the torso underneath his bullet-resistant vest during a routine traffic stop. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at Jamaica Hospital.
