MIDDLETOWN TWP., Pennsylvania – Authorities in Middletown Township, Bucks County, are currently conducting an investigation after the discovery of a deceased man in a residence on Tuesday evening.
The victim, a man in his 60s, was found in an upstairs bathroom on the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive. Police officers responded to reports of a decapitated body around 7 p.m., although the cause of death has not been officially confirmed.
Middletown Township Police Chief Joe Bartorilla stated that the victim’s son fled the scene in his father’s vehicle, and was later apprehended about 100 miles away from the crime scene. The son, who resided in the home on Upper Orchard Drive, is being considered a person of interest in the case.
“We were pretty confident that the person of interest is the person we were looking for,” stated Bartorilla.
Additionally, police are looking into a social media post that may be connected to the investigation. As of now, the identities of the father and son have not been disclosed.
