Lawsuit Alleges Megan Thee Stallion Created Hostile Work Environment with Harassment and Sex

Los Angeles – A former cameraman for Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit alleging harassment and a hostile work environment against the hip-hop star. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claims that Emilio Garcia was subjected to severe and pervasive harassment after an alleged incident where he was trapped in a moving vehicle with Megan Thee Stallion while she engaged in sexual activity with another woman.

According to the lawsuit, Garcia endured fat-shaming insults from Megan Thee Stallion and was warned not to discuss what he saw during the incident in the vehicle. The lawsuit also alleges that Garcia’s compensation structure was changed following the trip, leading to a decrease in bookings and ultimately his dismissal from working with the Grammy winner.

Garcia, who worked as a personal cameraman for Megan Thee Stallion, stated that the alleged behavior caused him emotional distress, physical sickness, and a loss of earnings and other employment benefits. The lawsuit also outlines alleged employment and wage violations, including misclassification as an independent contractor and denial of overtime pay and breaks.

In response to the lawsuit, an attorney for Megan Thee Stallion stated that the claims were purely for financial gain and aimed at embarrassing the entertainer. However, Garcia’s attorney emphasized the need for accountability and fair compensation for his client.

Garcia expressed his desire for people to advocate for themselves in similar situations and highlighted the lack of HR support in the entertainment industry. The lawsuit seeks unpaid wages, interest, overtime pay, employee benefits, statutory penalties, punitive damages, and legal costs in accordance with California labor laws.

The lawsuit paints a picture of a toxic work environment for Garcia, alleging mistreatment, lack of insurance coverage, and emotional distress. The case highlights the complexities of power dynamics in the entertainment industry and raises important questions about accountability and fair treatment of employees.
