Pompeii, Italy – An extraordinary discovery has been made in the ancient ruins of Pompeii, revealing a banquet room adorned with stunning frescoes depicting characters from the Trojan war. This remarkable finding is being hailed as one of the most striking revelations ever uncovered at the renowned southern Italian archaeological site.
Located in a former private residence on Via di Nola, Pompeii’s longest road, the 15-meter-long and six-meter-wide ‘black room’ is named for its dark walls, likely used to conceal soot from burning oil lamps.
