Floyd Mayweather and Lil Uzi Vert Face Lawsuit for Alleged Role in Brutal Assault; Uzi Denies Involvement

New York — A lawsuit filed in New York City alleges that rapper Lil Uzi Vert and boxing icon Floyd Mayweather, alongside several members of Mayweather’s Money Team, were involved in a violent physical altercation last summer. The plaintiff, Abdullah Ali, claims he was merely trying to observe a luxury vehicle being unloaded from a trailer when the incident occurred.

According to the legal documents, Ali approached the parked trailer near an NYC hotel for a closer look and began filming the scene. It is at this juncture that he reportedly encountered hostility from a group, which included Lil Uzi and several of Mayweather’s associates, urging him to cease filming.

The situation then escalated quickly as verbal exchanges turned into physical violence. Ali’s attorneys, Matthew Blit and Michael Rose, detail in the lawsuit that their client was subjected to a series of punches and kicks from at least ten individuals, allegedly including Lil Uzi. This attack reportedly left Ali on the ground, enduring sustained aggression.

Ali sustained multiple injuries from this encounter. According to his lawyers, he had teeth knocked out and required hospitalization to address his injuries.

Responding to these allegations, a representative for Lil Uzi vehemently denies the rapper’s involvement, stating that Uzi neither knows Floyd Mayweather nor has any connections with Mayweather’s Money Team. According to Uzi’s rep, the rapper was not present at the scene during the alleged incident.

It remains unclear whether Mayweather himself was at the location during the altercation, and neither Mayweather’s representatives nor the legal team have provided comments on his involvement.

The aftermath of the incident saw Ali seeking legal action for the damages incurred, citing severe physical and emotional distress. Though the amount of compensatory damages being sought has not been disclosed, the lawsuit emphasizes the severity of the alleged assault.

In addition, Ali reported the occurrence to local authorities. However, no arrests have been made related to the incident as investigations continue.

The ongoing case has yet to see a courtroom, but the allegations have stirred considerable attention due to the high profiles of the alleged assailants. Both Mayweather and Lil Uzi have substantial followings, and their involvement in legal disturbances garners significant public and media scrutiny.

This case adds to the growing discourse around celebrity involvement in legal disputes and the impact of their entourages in escalating potentially volatile situations. As proceedings continue, further details are expected to emerge, shedding light on the events of that day and the veracity of the claims made in the lawsuit.
