Los Angeles, California – The upcoming Investigation Discovery docuseries will shed light on the controversies surrounding Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys and his late brother, Aaron Carter. Titled “Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter,” the four-part series is set to debut over two nights from May 27 on ID and Max. It will delve into the Carter brothers’ rise to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s, as well as their struggles in recent years.

The docuseries will explore allegations of sexual assault against Nick Carter by three women, while also addressing Aaron Carter’s battles with mental health and substance abuse. The rift between the brothers occurred after Aaron chose to support his brother’s accusers, leading to a deeper understanding of the allegations and the impact on the accusers’ lives.

Aaron Carter, known for his early fame as a singer and TV personality, tragically passed away in November 2022 at the age of 34. His cause of death was determined to be an accident resulting from drowning and the effects of difluoroethane and alprazolam.

In April 2023, Nick Carter faced legal action for sexual assault and battery by Melissa Schuman from the pop group Dream. Despite denying the allegations initially, additional accusers, Ashley Repp and Shay Ruth, came forward following Schuman’s decision to speak up.
