Beneficiaries Discover Social Security Payment Schedule for 2024 from June to December

Atlanta, Georgia – The Social Security Administration continues to provide crucial monthly payments to millions of beneficiaries nationwide. These recipients include retired workers, survivors, and individuals receiving disability benefits through programs like Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI).

These payments are disbursed at various times throughout the month, with the SSA having already distributed payments for the months of January through May, currently in the process of sending out payments for June, and with plans in place for the remaining months until December. The schedule of payments is carefully structured to cater to different groups of beneficiaries based on their eligibility criteria.

SSI benefits, for example, are typically sent out on the first day of each month, while those who started receiving Social Security payments prior to May 1997 can expect their payments on the 3rd of every month. Furthermore, the distribution of the remaining Social Security checks is organized according to the beneficiaries’ birth dates.

Beneficiaries with birthdays falling between the 1st and 10th of the month can anticipate their payments on the second Wednesday, while those born between the 11th and 20th will receive theirs on the third Wednesday. For individuals with birthdays between the 21st and 31st, payment day falls on the fourth Wednesday of the month.

In cases where payment dates coincide with weekends or holidays, beneficiaries can expect to receive their funds on the nearest preceding business day. Payments are facilitated either through direct deposit for those who have provided their banking details to the SSA or via traditional mail with paper checks.

The Social Security Administration has meticulously mapped out the payment schedule for the coming months from June to December. Beneficiaries are advised to refer to the specific dates allocated to their respective groups to ensure prompt receipt of their funds.

Should a payment not arrive on the anticipated date, the SSA recommends waiting for three days before reaching out to inquire about the status of the payment. This delay allows for any potential delays in the mailing process to be rectified before taking further action.
