LAS VEGAS – The long-awaited sequel to the iconic supernatural comedy “Beetlejuice” has been generating quite the buzz at CinemaCon. Director Tim Burton, along with Michael Keaton and other cast members, presented an extended trailer for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” set to hit theaters on September 6. The film sees Keaton reprising his role as the mischievous “ghost with the most,” Beetlejuice, causing chaos in the real world and the afterlife.
The sequel brings back familiar faces like Winona Ryder as Lydia, Catherine O’Hara as Delia, and introduces new characters such as Jenna Ortega as Astrid, Lydia’s rebellious teen daughter. The plot revolves around the challenge of the living and the dead coexisting, with Beetlejuice wreaking havoc once again. The trailer also teases the return of other beloved characters like the shrunken head guy and introduces new villains played by Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci.
