Mumbai, India – Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, is preparing for his upcoming wedding to Radhika Merchant with a lavish pre-wedding celebration in Gujarat. Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Fortune 500 company Reliance Industries and Asia’s richest man with a net worth of $111 billion, is sparing no expense for his son’s wedding festivities. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to tie the knot in July, marking the beginning of their grand celebration this week in Gujarat.
The festivities kicked off with a communal dinner for 51,000 local residents in Jogwad village, near the Reliance Township in Jamnagar. The tradition of serving food to the community during auspicious occasions is a long-standing custom of the Ambani family.
Notable figures from the tech world, including Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Sundar Pichai, are expected to be among the 1,200 guests invited to the celebrations. Disney’s CEO Bob Iger is also likely to attend, following the announcement of an $8.5 billion merger between Reliance Industries and Disney.
The event itinerary includes a cocktail party, a visit to the Reliance animal rescue center, and an evening “mela rouge,” among other activities. Guests will also have the chance to experience a “tusker trails” event surrounded by nature’s wonders, including over 200 elephants, 300 big cats, and 120 at-risk reptiles.
In preparation for the wedding, the Ambani family constructed 14 new temples in Jamnagar, showcasing their commitment to tradition and spiritual values. Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, oversaw the construction progress in a video shared on the foundation’s official YouTube channel.
