Authorities are currently piecing together the events leading up to Payne’s fatal plunge from his hotel’s third-floor room on October 16.
According to informed sources, investigators have accessed CCTV footage that purportedly captures several drug transactions between a dealer and a hotel staff member days before the incident. Scrutiny has intensified around whether these substances were subsequently supplied to Payne.
Further intrigue comes from video evidence showing Payne, notably disoriented, asleep in the hotel’s lobby on two separate occasions, clutching a whiskey bottle. This detail paints a concerning picture of his condition in the days preceding his death.
