Jesus Arturo Guerrero-Martinez faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, kidnapping, and using a simulated weapon. The allegations stem from a confrontation at an apartment that escalated from a disagreement over a laptop, according to the Pima County authorities.
Police reports indicate that the dispute began when the woman asked to use the laptop to watch a movie. She returned it in an attempt to avoid further conflict, but the argument continued. As she moved toward the living room, Guerrero-Martinez is accused of grabbing her neck and forcibly pulling her into a bedroom, where he allegedly threw her onto a bed while continuing to strangle her.
In a desperate bid for help, the woman managed to call her mother via FaceTime during the assault. The mother later informed law enforcement that she witnessed her daughter being choked and drove to the apartment immediately.
